2008 Election

Ok, here's my take. B. Hussein Obama lacks experience, judgment, and leadership abilities. Furthermore, his economic policy would cause a huge depression. Evidence: His policy mirror's Carter's, from the 1960's. At that time we went into a huge recession, unemployment was at its highest, Consumer Confidence was at it's lowest. From here you can infer that Obama's policy would cause a depression because we are at an economic downturn. One thing you do not do when consumer confidence is waning is: 1) Increase Taxes, especially the Capital Gains tax. 2) Increase governmental spending. Now, I am a staunch social conservative. Obama has one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate when it comes to social issues. E.g. He has supported increase spending on abortion clinics, has condoned partial birth abortion, and has condoned infanticide. Furthermore, he is against the Death Penalty, and for lenient sentences. One thing I can't stand is an easy going, lenient justice system.

Now, onto McCain. Personally, I am for the GOP. However, I don't like McCain that much. He is qualified in leading the country, definitely. However, he is less qualified in economics. In a time that we are in, we need a President who knows how the economy works. That's why I thought that a Governor, not a Senator should have been the nominee. E.g. Romney or Huckabee.

But the BIG question is this: Who would you rather want; B. Hussein Obama, or McCain. Out of the two, I believe McCain has the following over Obama:

1) Experience in dealing with global issues, such as Terrorism.

2) Has a sound economic plan, which promotes consumer confidence, spending and investing.

3) Is more in touch with the ideals of Middle America, Evangelicals, Christians and Conservatives.

For these 3 reasons, I back McCain.
