The new LD topic is out, and for any LD'ers out there, I will try to help.
Resolved: "It is morally permissible to kill one innocent person to save the lives of more innocent people."
Overview
On a general basis it will come down to a Consequential/Utilitarian Vs. Deontological split. However, you can broaden it to more ideas. I suggest you do that. I'll give you some ideas for each side.
Affirmative
1) Maximizing the Preservation/Protection of Life.
2) Consequentialism and Utilitarianism
3) Social Contract Theory
4) Situational and Virtue Ethics
5) The Harm Principle
Negative
1) Right to Life
2) Deontology
3) Moral Normality/Normativity
4) Protection of Rights

Don't try to take ideas from a debate.com website; no warrants and most of them suck.
And I'd suggest you gave a little more respect; you treat topics like abortion like they're clear cut and you're right: and there are two sides to every debate.
Um, these are my constructive arguments, which I tested on debate.com. Furthermore, I presented an argument that is pretty straight forward. What better way is there to debate then have an argument that is clear and makes sense?
Peter Grabowski-
umm....these are just simply wrong.
